Do you have an IT device which you would like to know more about how you can use it to support your on-line activities?
Would you like help with emails and the Internet?
Do you want to use Skype or Facetime?
Help with files or photographs?
All ages and abilities are welcome at these ‘drop in’ sessions. Some people attend regularly, others for just a few sessions, but whatever is right for you is just fine.
Meeting most Monday afternoons throughout the year, we have a team of friendly, patient and knowledgeable tutors who are on hand to provide as much help as you need, whether you are a complete beginner or more advanced.
If you have your own laptop or tablet, then do bring it along with you, otherwise you are welcome to use one of our Laptops, iPad Air or Samsung Galaxy Tab 4.
Tutors have various skills themselves and are able to help with many different aspects of IT including access to and using the Internet. buying and selling on Ebay and setting up and using emails. If you want to use Skype or Facetime then we can help – you will be able to talk to and see family and friends.
If you need to sort out your photographs or files, then we are only too happy to help.
We can also help with word processing, especially useful if you want to write letters or emails and we can provide lots of exercises that you can work on at your own pace, enabling you to build up your skills.
We can show you how to maintain the health of your device with anti-virus, anti-malware and system cleaning programmes. However we cannot repair computers.
We are a very friendly, informal and sociable group and you will be very welcome if you would like to come along. Coffee and cake is served halfway through the session when everyone has a good chat.
We close for Easter, midsummer and Christmas breaks. Check on the Events page for closures.
