Smarties is held every Monday morning, during term time, from 9.30 to 11.00. The charge is £3 for each child.

The co-ordinator is an experienced and imaginative leader and she is helped each week by two volunteers.

The group is thriving and friendly and is often full. It is run on a drop-in basis, and welcomes parents, grandparents and carers with children from babies to pre-school. A variety of activities are carried out including singing, playtime art and crafts, cooking, and story time.

There are also a huge range of toys for children to play with.

Drinks and home-made cakes are included.

There are a number of seasonal related activities planned during the year. Currently we plan to run an Easter Egg hunt and close to Christmas there are two activities. The children make decorations for the Christmas tree festival and also have an opportunity to make their own Christmas craft items.

There is also a Christmas Party which is a very popular event, with food and games and each child receives a gift.
