Smarties
Smarties is held every Monday morning, during term time, from 9.30 to 11.00.
The charge is £3.00 for each child.
The co-ordinator is a very experienced and imaginative leader and she is helped each week by three volunteers. The group is thriving and friendly and is often full. It is run on a drop-in basis, and welcomes parents, grandparents and carers with children from babies to pre-school. A variety of activities are carried out including singing, playtime art and crafts, cooking, and story time. There are also a huge range of toys for children to play with.
Snack time for the children as well as a hot drinks and home-made cakes for the carers.
During the year there is usually an Easter Bonnet Parade around the village.
The children all make decorations for the Smarties tree in the Christmas Tree Festival.
The Christmas Party is a very popular event, with food, games, entertainment and a visit from Father Christmas when each child receives a gift.
